Bernina
Come and see us to have a look at the new Bernina Q series machines (20″ and 24″ long arm quilting machines made in Switzerland)
BERNINA International AG is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sewing and embroidery machines. BERNINA products are used by quality and design conscious users worldwide for textile work, sewing, embroidery and quilting, as well as for felting and tailoring. Innovation has been BERNINA’s policy since day one. Karl Friedrich Gegauf invented the first hemstitch sewing machine at the end of the 19th century. This special sewing machine caused a major sensation, as hemstitches had always been sewn by hand. In 1932, the first household sewing machine with the name BERNINA left the Steckborn factory.
Today, BERNINA International AG produces a multitude of machines that are distinguished by modern technology and targeted to the diverse needs of ambitious, creative people. BERNINA is headquartered in Steckborn, in the Thurgau canton of Switzerland. As an independent family company, BERNINA is not listed on the stock exchange. BERNINA manufactures machines and accessories at its production facilities in Steckborn, Switzerland and Lamphun, Thailand.
In 1893 Karl Friedrich Gegauf invented the first hemstitching machine, thereby laying the foundation for the BERNINA brand. Since 1932, BERNINA sewing and embroidery machines and sergers have been turning fabrics into dreams. Whether used as a professional work tool or to enliven your leisure hours, a BERNINA is a good decision for years to come – sometimes even for a lifetime.
But that’s not all: In addition to these machines, BERNINA offers you yet more useful products. The wide range of available accessories means you’ll be able to make maximum use of the creative sewing, embroidering and quilting opportunities offered by your BERNINA. What’s more, BERNINA’s various software solutions give your creative ideas wings, not least of all with a highly developed embroidery software and the innovative DesignWorks software series with its CutWork, PaintWork and CrystalWork products.
